Deadline Reminder!

I'm sure all you hardworking writers are very much aware that the deadline for rough draft big_bang_hd submissions is only 10 days away (that's January 1st), but we would be remiss if we didn't mention it anyway. ;)

When you're ready to submit, please e-mail a Word or Text document to us at bigbangchallenge@gmail.com. In your email it would also be helpful if you identified 4-6 scenes you would most like to see illustrated, both by description and page number. Final, beta'd drafts are still due February 1st!

So I need to know desperately if the final version can include scenes that were not in the version due in two days. Please say it can. Because I think I won't be able to write the end as I'd like to otherwise.

Also, my version is very rough. Like, very, very rough. Is that a problem? How rough is 'rough'?

Yes, the final version can include scenes not in the rough draft. Just keep in mind that they won't have a chance to be illustrated, and any scenes that you *cut* from the rough draft may have artwork already done for it. Very rough is fine, we understand that a whole lot of polishing can be done in the course of a month, and will look forward to your finished product!

All right, that's awesome. Thanks. Here's another question. How H/D does the fic have to be? I think I focused on making it fit with canon a lot, especially plot-wise, so there's not much H/D. Um, at all. I was hoping to have them kiss, but after taking all this time I'd hate to rush it.

So, um, if H/D is heavily implied, or sort-of kind-of a little bit implied if you squint and keep an open mind, does it still count? Will I get into trouble?

Showing how H/D could work as a pairing post-HBP was the point of the challenge, so that's something that could definitely disqualify a fic, if it's not included.

We didn't set a minimum rating requirement like in the first round because we didn't want people to have to shoehorn porn into their fics if it didn't fit, but the relationship must be there.

If your fic has little to no H/D interaction, then ultimately it will come down to how we three mods read it, and whether we feel it meets the challenge or not.

This feels like part 1 of a much larger fic to me, and that's really the problem. I think it's obvious they like each other, though. Well, I guess you guys will just have to read it and see. I do think it works, though. Now I'm all worried! ACK!! *lapses into states of uncontrollable panic*
